To Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy – to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord before all ages, now and forevermore, Amen. – Jude:24
Who is able? Who is able to present my case before God on the day of judgement? Who is able to take my place and pay for my sin? Who is able to save me from the fire of judgement? Who is able to love a wretch like me? Jesus Christ and Him alone is able to do all these things and more.
There are days when I can get down on myself. There are days when I can get depressed and not understand what is going on in my life. There are days where it seems like the Devil is going to win. Then, I remember who my God is!
I remember that He is the Savior of the World. He is the one whom the grave couldn’t keep, and death could hold. He is the one who rises from the dead and ascends into the heavens. He is the one who was able to live a perfect life and willingly take my place on the cross. I remember He was in the beginning and will be in the end. He is the one who love without envy and has strength without boasting. He is Jesus Christ my Savior.
He can defeat anything that comes at me. He can defeat my sin and temptation, he can defeat my addiction, He can defeat my depression, He can defeat my anger and hate. Mostly He can raise me up, lift my chin and tell me I am loved, and I am saved, Hallelujah!
This is the God and Savior and Spirit I serve, how about you? Are you down today, are you feeling like giving in? Do you not know what to do next? Well, I have a Savior who can lead you through all of that. A Great shepherd that can lead us into the grace and mercy we so desire. What does it cost you? Love! That’s it, in return all He asks for is faith in His love to save you from this world, to save you from yourself. Too good to be true? I would have though so, if my savior hadn’t saved me and now through the power of His name I kick the Devil in the teeth each day and say, “Away from me Satan!” Hallelujah!
To God be the Glory,
