"Paul looked directly at him, saw that he had faith to be healed and called out, 'Stand up on your feet!' At that, the man jumped up and began to walk." Acts 14:9-10
I wonder sometimes, when people see me do they see my faith or just a man? It is easy to go through life and no one even know that we are Christians, but when we have heard the Good News and know the truth, we should be filled up so much that it overflows out of us. People ought to be asking us, why are you so full of joy today. And then we will have an answer for our faith, the Good News.
It is the thought that no matter what life throws at me, I get to win. No matter if I get sick or die, I win. No matter if my children are hurt or pass away, I win. No matter if I get to live this life until I am old and filled, I win. Because no matter what I have Christ and no one can take that away from me. I have the one that not only lived a perfect life, but took my sacrifice for me. He stood in my place of judgment and has said that all is forgiven. He has taken my sins away, that means past present and future sins. He has taken them all from me that I might be with Him for eternity.
When I think about that, I remember my wife and all of her sacrifices and all that she has done for our marriage to make it work. When someone sacrifices for me, I see how great a love that is and remember John 15:13. No greater love is there than to sacrifice for another and Jesus did just that; He sacrificed once and for all, that we may never know eternal hell, but that we would know peace for eternity.
It is for this reason that we also love and know love, because of Jesus sacrifice for us. If you are a Christian today, let someone see your faith and rejoice. If you don’t know Jesus Christ, find someone who does or email me and I will be glad to introduce you to the one who loves you and wants to be with you, Jesus Christ.
