Through glory and dishonor, bad report and good report; genuine, yet regarded as impostors; know, yet regarded as unknown; dying and yet we live on; beaten, and yet not killed; sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything. 2 Cor 6:8-10
No matter what I can share the Gospel of Christ. As Christians we are never promised that all will be well with us, but what we are promised is that in all occasions He will give us the strength and courage to share the Gospel with people. I think of Joseph and how he proclaimed God both in jail and as the right hand to the pharaoh. I think of Paul and how he was a Jew of Jews and yet shared the Gospel in good time and bad, for he once was also in prison.
At what cost would I stop sharing the Gospel? I would hope none! I want to always share the Lord’s hope with people, even if that means facing the noose or the fire. I must tell people about Christ and His redemptive act so that they may be saved. There is no cost too high and nothing that can ever shut me up.
I will share the Gospel no matter what! That is the attitude I always want to have. I ask the Lord that it will ever be so in my heart. I ask that He would give me the courage and the strength to stand for Him. I ask that He give me the wisdom to seek out and find those in need of Him.
Won’t you join me in proclaiming Jesus as Lord to as many as possible. We must do so in whatever way possible. Perhaps today is the day you share with your coworker or with the gas station clerk. Whoever it is, be ready to pay the cost to set them free!
