2 Chronicles 1:10-12 King James Version (KJV)10 Give me now wisdom and knowledge that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people that is so great?
11 And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:
12 Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.
When asked by God what he wanted, Soloman asked for Wisdom and Knowledge, that he may go out and come in! In following this out in the scriptures we see this had to do with “war” and how to come in and go out from the presence of God. So weather he won or lost he wanted to know how to go into the presence of God and how to leave the presence of God. The ultimate challenge was with the Queen of Sheba, the richest and most powerful woman alive at that time. The “interaction” was over when she saw how Soloman behaved in the presence of God.
Look at the following scripture to carry on this thought for today!
Ezekiel 46 (KJV)
But when the people of the land shall come before the Lord in the solemn feasts, he that entereth in by the way of the north gate to worship shall go out by the way of the south gate; and he that entereth by the way of the south gate shall go forth by the way of the north gate: he shall not return by the way of the gate whereby he came in, but shall go forth over against it. (Enter and Exit by a different Gate, A choice we make)
So each time we enter into the house of worship, we come in one way, but, we should always strive to leave a different way. Meaning we should lift up our God in Prayer and Praise and be glorifying him and not self. When we leave a worship service we should be changed…for the good. We should be strengthened. In other words, we are not the same person that entered the worship service; we are better and stronger. Note Romans 10:17. (KJV) 17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
