Psalms 27: NKJV A Psalm of David.
27 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When the wicked came against me to eat up my flesh,
my enemies and foes, they stumbled and fell. 3 Though an army may encamp against me,
my heart shall not fear; though war may rise against me, in this I will be confident.
4 One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord
All the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple.
5 For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; in the secret place of His tabernacle
He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.
Another year has yet come and gone already. This happens so fast it seems. So with 2018 coming to an end, how did you fair last year? Did you have problems? Did you have any victories? What is it you remember from last year that impacted your life? Are you better off at the end of 2018 than you were last January?
According to the first 5 verses of Psalms 27, it is the Lord who is our “Light”, who makes things visible; the Lord is our “salvation”, he brings us through the tough times; the Lord is our “strength”, he gives us the power and ability to deal with problems. If we understand this then why be afraid? Who is there to fear? If we desire the Lord and seek him out, who can come against us and be victorious over us? If we are dwelling with God, He will “hide” us and protect us from problems and those who would come against us.
Problems and stuff may happen to us but if we are seeking out the Lord we will respond to the problems of life in a Godly fashion with a Godly response and “He shall set me high upon a rock” above those who are messing with us!
May the Lord Bless you all in 2019 with Wisdom and Insight each day!
